Every tonne we have bought
We buy carbon credits in whole tonnes and keep a set number on hand for each supply line, currently up to 5 tonnes for Tradewater and 1 tonne for Vaulted Deep. Each fan purchase fills the open tonne for its supply line, and a purchase that doesn't fit continues in the next one. We retire each tonne on its registry, on the registry's timing. Here is every tonne, and every receipt that went into it. Receipt IDs are shortened so no one can be identified.

The projects, mix and price will change over time. Each tonne below shows the supply line it came from, and each receipt keeps the price and mix at the time of purchase.

Where the 80% goes
For every tonne (1,000 kg) of credits you buy at $49, $9.80 (20%) is our service fee. Orders under 100 kg, and chip-ins under $4.90, also pay a $0.50 flat fee, which goes to us too. We use the other 80% ($39.20) only for carbon credits:
- Your credits. At our current mix, the credits for each tonne cost about $39.08.
- What's left each month. After that, about $0.12 per tonne is left over, under 1% of the price. Each month, we add up what's left over from every purchase and use it to buy extra durable removal for the community pool.
We buy credits in whole tonnes and keep some stock on hand. If we're ever left with unsold stock, for example when we change suppliers, we cover its cost from our fee, not your credits. Each row below is one month: the 80% share received, what it bought, and what's carried forward.

What retired means
A retired carbon credit is cancelled on its registry, so it can't be sold or claimed again. Serials can be looked up on the registry named for each tonne.
Who retires them
Thrivedom retires each tonne on behalf of the fans whose purchases filled it. Credits are not retired in any one person's name.
Filling tonnes
The credits in a filling tonne are already bought. Retirement follows the registry's timing, so a tonne can be retired before or after it is full.
Tonnes being bought
Sometimes orders come in faster than the stock we keep on hand. Those purchases go into a tonne we are buying from the supplier now. This page and each receipt update when the purchase is confirmed.
